A FEW years back I arrived in New Zealand to help set up the High Hazards Unit at WorkSafe New Zealand, the country’s health and safety regulator. Pretty soon, it struck me that work being done in the occupational health and safety sphere was a part of a greater ‘risk renaissance’ that Kiwis have been undergoing in recent years.
