Jones awarded RACI Distinguished Fellowship

ICHEME Fellow Clifford Jones has been awarded a Distinguished Fellowship by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute.

Distinguished Fellowships are awarded by RACI in recognition of highly-distinguished contributions to the chemistry profession. Jones is an expert in fuels and combustion processes, having conducted research on fuel technology and fire science. He has also published 29 books since 1993, including the titles Offshore Oil and Gas Decommissioning and Global Trends and Patterns in Carbon Mitigation.

Jones said: “I am so delighted to receive the award, which has spurred me on to further activity.”

He is an Adjunct Professor at Federation University Australia, a Visiting Professor at the University of Chester, UK, and Reader Emeritus at the University of Aberdeen, UK.
