HOW CAN chemical engineering help tackle challenges in healthcare and medical science? These questions will be explored at ChEMed 2026: Chemical Engineering as Applied to Medicine, taking place from 26–28 October 2026 in Cagliari, Italy.
The conference will bring together researchers and practitioners to discuss how chemical engineering approaches can address issues in areas such as physiology, medical diagnostics and advanced therapies. The programme will feature plenary lectures, selected presentations and poster sessions, with accepted papers published in the journal Chemical Engineering Transactions.
Keynote speakers include Alberto Mantovani, who will present Immunity and Inflammation, from Cancer to Global Health, and Jesús Santamaria Ramiro, speaking on Cancer Nanomedicine at a Crossroads.
The event is organised by the Italian Association of Chemical Engineering (AIDIC) and endorsed by the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE). Further details can be found at https://www.aidic.it/cheme26/
