Rolls-Royce SMR and Dow among IChemE Global Awards 2025 finalists

ICHEME has announced the finalists for its 2025 Global Awards, with nearly 100 companies from 16 countries making the shortlist.  

Among those vying to win an award at the November ceremony are Rolls-Royce SMR, Dow and the Durban University of Technology. This year’s event features 16 categories, including honours for innovative processes, biopharma, and training and development. The top accolade – Outstanding Achievement in Chemical and Process Engineering – will be awarded to the best overall entry. 

Jamie Cleaver, Global Awards head judge, said: “I am once again in awe of the quality and diversity of entries from around the world. It strikes me that our beloved profession is thriving in the development and application of ingenious and innovative technology, and it is constantly finding new and improved ways of working. The Global Awards entries continue to inspire me.” 

The 2024 Global Awards winners gather on stage

Widely recognised as the world’s most prestigious chemical engineering awards programme, the IChemE Global Awards brings together one of the largest gatherings in the UK of those working in, and contributing to, chemical, biochemical and process engineering around the world. 

Ahead of the awards dinner, IChemE will again host an afternoon showcase event where finalists can network and discuss their submissions.
