With IChemE’s Young Engineers Awards for Innovation and Sustainability (YEAIS) now open for nominations, Adam Duckett asked the judges what top tips they have to share with those looking to throw their hat in the ring
Ben Robinson: A good submission clearly outlines the project and its benefits, but a great one highlights the applicant’s innovation. It’s also particularly important for the applicant to highlight their input if they are presenting a collaborative project or part of a project in their company.
Eleni Routoula: The poster needs to tell a story to multiple audiences, whether technical or not, and leave you understanding “why this is important”.
Cleo Parker: Great applicants find ways to elevate their submissions through appropriate diagrams, use of bullet points, and effective paragraphing. Clarity is key.
