ICHEME has launched training courses for engineers improving safety in emerging industries, as well as those looking to improve their skills as new managers and project managers.
The new courses are: carbon dioxide safety; advanced ammonia safety; fundamentals of process safety in the water sector; process safety performance indicators; fundamentals of digitalisation in the chemical and process industries; energy from waste; new managers in chemical and process engineering; and project management in the chemical and process industries.
Matt Stalker, IChemE’s commercial associate director, said: “Alongside strengthening our core training offering, we are focused on providing opportunities to develop knowledge and understanding in new areas such as sustainability and digitalisation to meet the evolving needs of industry professionals. We are also committed to making our training as accessible as possible by providing formats that accommodate different learning styles, schedules and budgets.”
The delivery formats vary by course and include face-to-face, online and in-company.
IChemE is also offering an in-company course called ‘the business of chemical and process engineering’ for teams of non-STEM professionals who will benefit from insights into chemical engineering projects and operations.
