ICHEME is inviting contributions for its Hydrogen Innovation and Technology Conference 2026, bringing together engineers, researchers and industry to explore the latest developments across the hydrogen value chain.

The conference is part of the alliance between IChemE and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and will focus on advancing hydrogen technologies from concept to deployment, with topics spanning production, storage, distribution and end use. Contributors are encouraged to share insights on scaling up low-carbon hydrogen, overcoming engineering challenges and integrating hydrogen into existing energy systems.

Submissions are also sought on policy, investment and skills, reflecting the cross-sector collaboration needed to support a growing hydrogen economy.

The event, which takes place on 14-15 October, aims to highlight the role of chemical engineers in delivering practical, scalable solutions for net zero and to showcase innovation from both established organisations and emerging players.

IChemE welcomes abstracts from across industry and academia. The deadline for abstract submissions is 25 May.
