IChemE Congress voting now open

Article by Amanda Doyle

ICHEME members can now vote for who they want to represent them on Congress.

Congress is a new member advisory body that will serve as a link between the Board of Trustees and members.

There are nine candidates running for four Fellow seats, five candidates for four Chartered seats, 11 candidates for four Early Career seats, and six candidates for two Student seats. Members will be able to vote for candidates in their own functional college as well as for candidates in their own regional college. Sixteen of the regional seats have already been filled by uncontested nominees. Seven regional seats had no nominees and will remain vacant until the next Congress election.

The full list of nominees and their biographies can be viewed on the member-only page here and members are also encouraged to ask candidates questions on the member-only forum Interface.

Voting opened on 11 October. Members can vote electronically via Mi-Voice and will have received an email with details on how to vote. Members who have requested ballot papers will receive them by post.

Voting closes on 25 October and the results will be announced shortly afterwards.
