IChemE co-creates chemical engineering TV programme

ICHEME and ITN Productions’ Industry News are working to co-create Serving Society, a unique, news-style programme to improve understanding of global issues and raise awareness of the vital role of chemical engineers in delivering responsible solutions to benefit society.

The broadcast will examine the difference chemical engineering makes to society while exploring key issues including sustainable chemical engineering, addressing issues around the need to responsibly meet demand for chemical products moving forward. It will feature reports about solutions benefitting society, and show examples of best practice. Serving Society will also highlight the need to inspire the next generation.

As well as creating broader public understanding about the profession, Serving Society will raise awareness about IChemE’s ambitions, featuring stories on innovation and evolution.

Forming part of an extensive online digital campaign, Serving Society is a collaborative content partnership between IChemE and ITN Productions’ Industry News. Part of the production arm of Independent Television News (ITN), Industry News delivers news-style programming, in partnership with leading bodies and national associations across the UK, Europe and the US.

The new programme will be launched at an IChemE event in January 2022.
