PM GROUP, an international project delivery company, has today been awarded Bronze Corporate Partner status by IChemE.

The company operates in Europe, the US and Asia, providing project management, process and facility design and construction management services, mainly in the pharmaceutical, food, mission critical, medtech, advanced manufacturing and energy sectors. It employs around 80 IChemE members. The Corporate Partnership presentation took place at PM Group’s offices in Birmingham, UK.

Attaining Bronze Corporate Partnership recognises PM Group’s commitment to advancing the chemical engineering profession, and the career development of its employees. Bronze partners pay IChemE membership fees for eligible staff and have an IChemE Accredited Company Training Scheme (ACTS). PM Group’s ACTS is its two-year Next Graduate Programme, which includes mentoring, training courses, site visits and site-based assignments for engineering graduates.

In addition, the company is involved with educational activities at all levels from primary schools to universities to promote chemical and process engineering. A number of PM Group employees are actively engaged in IChemE activities, including pharma sector director and IChemE Fellow Andy Rayner, lead process engineer Seona Turner, who is active in the Food & Drink Special Interest Group, and Adam Hawthorne who supports the London and South East member group and IChemE’s diversity work.

“Helping to develop our engineers and the wider engineering profession plays a key part in our activity. This particular award is testament to our work and commitment in not only supporting our process engineers in the UK, but also enhancing the chemical and process engineering community as a whole. We are particularly proud of our Next Graduate Programme and the fact that it is now an IChemE Accredited Company Training Scheme. We look forward to working closely with the IChemE in the future, as we continue to work towards Gold Corporate Partner status,” said PM Group UK managing director Peter Farrelly.

PM Group becomes IChemE’s 31st Corporate Partner, joining the likes of BP, Sellafield Ltd, AstraZeneca, Atkins and Syngenta. In February this year, Amec Foster Wheeler became a Gold Corporate Partner, while in November last year, DNV GL Malaysia attained Bronze Corporate Partner status.
